Service 20 Sunday May 23rd 16:14 Plas Menai

The crew of Beaumaris Lifeboat were called out to assist a 34ft boat at Felinheli that had a lobster pot caught round its prop. The lifeboatmen were able to untangle the propellor to enable the boat to proceed. The crew escorted the boat to Port Dinorwic.

Service 19 Sunday May 23rd 12:16 Britannia Bridge

Two persons were seen jumping off the Britannia Bridge into the water. Beaumaris lifeboat launched to search in the water. The persons were spotted by helicopter ashore and were given assistance by the emergency services.

Service 18 Saturday 22nd 13.54 Menai Strait

Holyhead Coastguard requested a launch to the owner of a newly purchased vessel with his family on board. He had asked for assistance and dropped anchor because of a mechanical failure. The Beaumaris lifeboat towed the vessel to Menai Bridge and made it secure.

Service 17 Saturday 15th May 20:45 Abermenai

A Mayday call was received by the coastguard for a yacht at Abermenai which had run aground and was having trouble refloating on a rising tide in strong currents. The lifeboat was sent to provide assistance to the yacht, which was escorted to Victoria Dock in Caernarfon.

Service 16 Saturday 15th May 17:07 off Bangor Pier

A 24' power boat with 2 persons on board ran out of fuel off Bangor pier. The skipper contacted HH Coastguard via mobile phone and the Beaumaris Lifeboat was requested. The lifeboat was launched and quickly located the casualty which was then towed back to Menai Bridge where it was left rafted on Menai Bridge Pier. The Lifeboat returned to station

Service 14 and 15 Monday 3rd May 13:50 Puffin Island and Mussel Bank

The lifeboat was launched when a Pan Pan call was received by Holyhead Coastguard for a broken down boat at Mussel Bank on the Caernarfon bar. En route, the lifeboat was diverted to a wind surfer struggling to get back onto his board at Penmon near Puffin Island. The windsurfer was also monitered from the shore by the mobile coastguard unit on scene.

After ensuring the windsurfer was safe, the lifeboat was directed onto rescue the broken down yacht, the yacht received assistance in the meantime from a nearby craft and was then escorted from Fort Belan to Caernarfon by the Beaumaris lifeboat before returning to base, the yacht subsequently made her way onto Port Dinorwic.

Service 13 Sunday 2nd May14:15 Beaumaris Bay

A member of the public called the Coastguard to report two men clinging to an overturned tender in Beaumaris Bay in rough conditions. The lifeboat launched to the scene as the men reached the nearby shore. The two men were given assistance at the North West Venturers Yacht Club, Gallows Point.
