Service launches of the Beaumaris lifeboat covering the Menai Strait between Anglesey and the North Wales mainland
January 22nd 13:00 Service #4 Menai Strait
A member of the public spotted something looking like a body in the water and reported to the Coastguard. HM Coastguard requested the Beaumaris Lifeboat launch to conduct a search between the bridges and down as far as Plas Menai. Nothing was found and the lifeboat returned to station.
January 7th 0830 Service #2 Menai Strait
Police had reported a person on Menai Suspension bridge who had jumped into the water. The lifeboat launched, conducted a search and recovered the body near Menai Bridge pier. Rescue helicopter 122 then arrived on scene and winched the body up. The lifeboat returned to station.
January 3rd 15:00 Service #1 Menai Bridge
Police reported a youth had jumped off Menai Bridge and asked for assistance from the lifeboat. The body was found on the rocks under the Menai Suspension bridgeand the Lifeboat crew went over to recover the body to hand over to the Ambulance and Police service. The lifeboat then returned to station.
December 31st 09:34 Puffin Island
Beaumaris Lifeboat was called out to respond to a 32ft cabin cruiser from Deganwy that ran aground off Puffin Island. As the cabin cruiser will refloat later today at high tide the lifeboat brought the cabin cruiser crew ashore at Beaumaris.
December 29 09:30 Menai Strait
The lifeboat was launched again to conduct a low water search in the Menai Strait for a missing man. After 3 hours the Lifeboat returned to the station.
December 28th 2pm Menai Strait
The search for the missing person resumed until 5:30pm when it became too dark to continue

December 28th 03:20 Menai Strait
The volunteer crew of Beaumaris Lifeboat Station were called out December 28th at 3.20 to search for a missing man along the Menai Strait. At 6.25 am the boat returned to the lifeboat station for a crew change and continued with the search working closely with Bangor and Penmon Coastguards and RAF rescue helicopter.
