The Beaumaris Lifeboat was called out to an incident involving a local fisherman in the Swellies. The fisherman, in his mid to late 20s and from Bangor, had walked from Church Island to a rock in the Swellies to fish and then found he was cut off due to the rising tide. The crew rescued the man and took him safely to shore at Menai Bridge pier before returning to the lifeboat station.
