Rib out on a leisure trip with 3 men and 1 small boy aboard got into difficulties by Penmon Lighthouse . The lifeboat took the boy off as he was suffering from cold and brought him ashore where he was wrapped in blankets and warmed up by the lifeboat crew. The boat came in to Beaumaris under its own power accompanied by the lifeboat.

August 19th 19:30 White Beach

Whilst on exercise the lifeboat was contacted by the coast guard to give assistance to a local lobster fisherman off Penmon who was having engine problems. The lifeboat attended the scene and towed the vessel back to its mooring in Beaumaris. Assistance was given by Penmon Coast Guard.

August 16th 11:06 am Abermenai

A 12 year old boy was adrift at Abermenai in a 13 ft. dory with engine failure. Beaumaris Lifeboat attended and 2 crew members entered the water to get to the casualty. The boy was transferred to the lifeboat and the dory towed to the nearest slipway where it was handed over to the owner. The Llandwrog Coastguard gave assistance.

August 10th 12:17pm Menai Bridge

Police notified the coastguard of a possible jumper from Britannia Bridge Beaumaris Lifeboat was launched @ 12.17 to attend the scene. No casualty was found and lifeboat then carried out a search through the strong ebbing tide from Port Dinorwic back to the Britannia Bridge but nobody was found.

August 3rd 1am Menai Straits

HM Coastguard had been contacted by the Police to say that a man was threatening to jump into the Menai Straits from the Britannia Bridge. The lifeboat was launched but by the time they arrived on scene the police had got control of the situation so the boat returned to station.
