July 25th 17:37 Puffin Sound

Beaumaris Lifeboat was called out to a Trimaran that had run aground off Penmon Point. The boat with two people and a dog on board had been anchored overnight at the Point but the change in wind today had resulted in the anchor dragging with the boat running aground on the beach. The lifeboat towed the boat off the beach and took it to a drying mooring near Bangor Pier.

July 23rd 15:35 Puffin Island

Beaumaris lifeboat was called out to a speed boat, with two female passengers and a child on board, with engine problems near Puffin Island. The RNLI’s volunteer crew were able to fix the engine so the speed boat returned to Menai Bridge, while the crew returned to Beaumaris Lifeboat Station.

July 17th 14:40 The Swellies

The Lifeboat was called out in response to a report of a boat stuck on the Swellies rock. When the Lifeboat arrived at the scene there was no sign of any boat so the Lifeboat returned to station.

July 10th 08:30 Britannia Bridge

The Beaumaris Lifeboat crew were tasked to Britannia Bridge following a report of a missing distressed female. The crew undertook a search of the Menai Strait up to Felinheli and were then stood down as the missing female had been found by the police.

July 9th 19:00 Puffin Sound

The Beaumaris Lifeboat was called out after a report of a small craft in trouble in Puffin Sound. On arrival at the scene the crew were stood down as the Coastguard had brought the boat ashore.

July 9th 14:30 Menai Bridge

The Beaumaris lifeboat was launched to Menai bridge to maintain a watch following a report of a distressed man on the bridge. After a 25 minute wait, the crew were stood down as the police had the man in custody.

July 5th 15:57 Near Beaumaris, Menai Strait

The Beaumaris RNLI were called out to rescue a capsized tender with two people in the water. The couple from Stockport, Cheshire had launched their yacht earlier in the day from Beaumaris and moored up in the Menai Strait by The Gazelle. They were in their tender on their way back to Beaumaris when it capsized.  
The Beaumaris lifeboat was swiftly at the scene and brought the two persons on board, both were uninjured although cold. The couple were taken to the Lifeboat Station to warm up and have a cup of tea, while the lifeboat crew returned to the scene to recover the capsized tender, which was brought to the Lifeboat Station and returned to the owners.

July 4th The Swellies

The lifeboat was launched to a yacht which appeared to be indifficulties in the Swellies.  The tender attached to the yacht had becomestuck on rocks.  The yacht owner decided to leave the tender on the rockand recover it later in day.  No assistance was required from the crew.

July 2nd 14:35 between Conwy and Puffin Island

The Beaumaris Lifeboat was called out to a 15ft speedboat with one man on board experiencing engine problems. On arrival at the scene, one of the volunteer crew boarded the speedboat and was able to restart the engine but it soon cut out so the lifeboat towed the speedboat to Menai Bridge. The RNLI Lifeboat returned to the boathouse at 16:20.
