Sept 30th 14:15 Menai Bridge

Two anglers were becoming cut off by the tide near Menai Bridge. On arrival on scene the lifeboat established that the casualties had managed to make their own way ashore.

September 26th 21:00 Llanfairfechan

Boat launched at 21:00 in response to a report of an object seen in the water at Llanfairfechan. The lifeboat did a search of the area and nothing was found. Lifeboat returned to station at 23:15.

September 25th 12:30 Bangor / Menai Strait

The crew of Beaumaris Lifeboat Station were called out at 12.30 to respond to an incident involving 9 students from Bangor University who were in the water after their rowing boat broke in half as a result of a large wake from a cruiser. On arrival at the scene, the crew found the students had been recovered by a safety boat so they proceeded to retrieve half of the broken boat which was floating under Britannia Bridge.
On their way back to the boathouse, the crew were diverted to assist a 21ft Maxim boat with one person on board which had broken down. The boat which was between Lairds and Puffin Island was towed by the lifeboat to Menai Bridge.

Sept 19th 10am Puffin Sound

A yacht got into difficulties when its electrical panel became flooded. It was taken in tow by another yacht belonging to a Beaumaris lifeboat crewman but as they approached Puffin Sound it was thought that assistance was required with the tow as the conditions in the sound would make things difficult. The Beaumaris lifeboat was launched and took over the tow taking the disabled yacht to its mooring opposite Bangor Pier.

September 15th 16.36 Britannia Bridge

Beaumaris Lifeboat was called out to a broken down motor boat 200 yards west of Britannia Bridge, which was towed to Porth Daniel at Menai Bridge.

September 12th 12:00 Llanfairfechan

At 12 noon, the crew were called out to a swimmer in trouble off Llanfairfechan. When the lifeboat reached the scene, the swimmer had got to shore so the crew returned to station.

September 11th 15:15 Caernarfon

The Beaumaris Lifeboat crew were called out to a yacht at Caernarfon. While the lifeboat was en route, the yacht was given a tow by another boat so the crew returned to station.

September 5th 11.15am Puffin Island

Beaumaris Lifeboat was called out to a broken down boat a mile east of Puffin Island, which they towed to Beaumaris.

September 4th 1.50pm Llanddwyn Island

Beaumaris Lifeboat called out to Llanddwyn Island to assist a 5 metre boat with engine trouble. The boat, with one person on board, was meanwhile towed by a passing yacht into the Menai Strait where the Lifeboat took over and towed it to Seiont Harbour.

September 1st 3am Britannia Bridge

The Coastguard and Police asked the lifeboat to attend the area of the Britannia Bridge as a vehicle had been left there with no occupant. A search was carried out and the body of a woman was found in the water and taken to Menai Bridge Pier where the Police and Ambulance Service took charge of the incident.

August 31 16:00 Llanfairfechan

The lifeboat launched following a report of an upturned boat near Llanfairfechen by a member of the public. Turned out to be a rubber dinghy that had floated away from its mooring. No person found in the water.

August 30 11:15 Caernarfon area

The Lifeboat was called by the Coastguard to help search the Caernarfon area for a missing woman canoeist who had gone missing12 hours earlier. Search was carried out for 2 hours but nothing was found.
