Service 12 Sunday 25th April 10:06 - Off Lady Margaret's Bay

Holyhead Coastguard received a 999 call from a broken down small open dinghy reported to be on the Beaumaris side of Bangor pier. The lifeboat attended and located the casualty in the vicinity of Lady Margaret's bay. The casualty was taken in tow and towed back to its launching site at Menai Bridge public slipway. The lifeboat returned to station.

Service 11 - 21:53 19th April - Port Dinorwic

North Wales Police requested the lifeboat to standby in the vicinity of Port Dinorwic where a female was threatening to jump into the Strait from the marina wall. When the lifeboat arrived on scene the police had persuaded the casualty to leave the wall and the lifeboat was released to return to station.

Service 10 17:00 18th April 1 mile NW of Conwy Fairway Buouy

Holyhead Coastguard received a request for assistance from an 8m motor boar out of fuel 1 mile NW of Conwy Fairway Buoy. The Beaumaris lifeboat was launched and located the casualty. The boat was taken in tow and towed into Conwy and left secured to the waiting pontoon outside Conwy marina.

Service 9 - 14:34 18th April - Lleiniog

A 63 year old male walking the Anglesey coastal path in the vicinity of Lleiniog fell injuring his shoulder. The tide was rising and he was incapacitated by his injuries. He was able to use a mobile phone to ask for assistance and the Penmon coastguard team was tasked. The location was inaccessible by road so the lifeboat was requested to evacuate the casualty and transfer him to an ambulance.

The lifeboat attended, the casualty and his dog was taken aboard the lifeboat and the casualty was given First Aid by the lifeboat crew as he was brought back to the Beaumaris boathouse. Once back at the boathouse he was handed over to the ambulance and subsequently taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd.

Service 8: 15:20 4th April off Caernarfon Bar

Holyhead Coastguard received a report that a 38' commercial RIB had suffered catastrophic engine failure with 10 persons on board. The vessel was asked to deply its anchor and the Beaumaris Lifeboat was launched. It proceeded to the scene, took the vessel in tow and towed it in to Caernarfon, The tide was ebbing at the time and progress was slow so the vessel was left alongside at Caernarfon to await a commercial tow. The Lifeboat returned to station.
The new Atlantic 85 performed well for this call out.

Service 7 - 2nd April Off Menai Bridge pier

Holyhead Coastguard received a report of a drifting small boat with outboard in indeterminate position off Menai Bridge Pier. They requested that the lifeboat check for recent occupation as there was a possibility that someone may have fallen overboard.

The lifeboat located the boat, confirmed that there was no sign of recent occupation and towed it to a mooring off Menai Bridge pier where it was left. The lifeboat returned to station.

Service 6: 18:38 26th March Menai Bridge

The lifeboat was launched to search for a missing person, the search area was from Beaumaris to Menai Bridge. The lifeboat was stood down shortly after launch as the person was located at Caernarfon hospital.

Service 5: 00:28am 24th March Lavan Sands in the Menai Strait

A cockle picker was reported as missing on Lavan Sands, the lifeboat launched and commenced search for one hour. The lifeboat wwas recalled as the person was found safe and well on the A55.
