April 16th 10:01 Friars bay

Yacht Ocean 326 was motoring from Bangor towards Puffin Island when their engine began to over heat. The 3 on board also reported electrical problems, they were unable to switch their engine off and called for assistance. The Coast Guard were initially unsure of the location of boat in trouble but Beaumaris Lifeboat located the boat next to Friars Bay and rendered assistance. The engine was eventually shut down and casualty towed to a mooring next to Beaumaris pier and crew brought ashore.

April 9th Gallows Point Menai Strait

A power boat with 2 persons on board had engine difficulties and contacted the Coastguard. The Lifeboat launched and towed the vessel into Dickies boat yard at Port Penrhyn.

April 1st Menai Bridge

A Yacht was reported to the coastguard to be in difficulty in high winds near the Bridges. The lifeboat was launched but on arrival found that the boat was securely at anchor and didn't need assistance.

March 15th 11:00 Service #7 Caernarfon

The lifeboat was launched after an inflatable was spotted in the water near Caernarfon. There were no persons on baord and the vessel was believed to have drifted on its own accord. The lifeboat towed the craft and made it secure in Victoria Dock.

February 12 Service #6 Menai Bridge

The police saw somebody on the Menai Bridge and then lost sight of them. HMCG called for the lifeboat to attend and search the area below the bridge but there was no sign of a person in the water. The RAF rescue helecopter also attended and searched but found no sign of a casualty.

February 2nd 23:17 Service #5 Menai Bridge

The coastguard and police acting on a report of a woman on the Menai Bridge requested the Beaumaris Lifeboat to launch - on arrival at the scene it was discovered that the woman had left the bridge.

January 22nd 13:00 Service #4 Menai Strait

A member of the public spotted something looking like a body in the water and reported to the Coastguard. HM Coastguard requested the Beaumaris Lifeboat launch to conduct a search between the bridges and down as far as Plas Menai. Nothing was found and the lifeboat returned to station.
