May 20th 2011 Port Dinorwic

A yacht with 2 persons on board was attempting to pick up a mooring buoy close to Port Dinorwic but due to the strong current and occasional heavy downpours, the crew were unable to moor safely. The crew called Holyhead Coastguard for assistance and dropped an anchor. The Beaumaris lifeboat came alongside the yacht and the crew rendered assistance. The yacht was escorted into Port Dinorwic and was moored in the harbour.
