June 20 Menai Bridge, Swellies and the Menai Strait

Volunteer crew paged to respond to an incident involving two swimmers at Menai Bridge. Lifeboat got as far as Gallows Point when they were stood down.

Volunteer crew called out to two yachts taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge that had run aground in the Menai Strait. The White Cloud hit the Gribyn Rock as it approached Caernarfon and was then struck by the Team Krishna and both ran aground. Both boats were towed into open water by the lifeboat and White Cloud was escorted to Felinheli while Team Krishna was able to make its own way through the Strait.

Crew called out to a 5m boat in trouble off the Gazelle which they towed to a mooring.
